AI Profile

Build a crawl-based business brief for a client so AI-generated posts and copy sound like the business.

The AI Profile is a business brief RankNest builds by crawling the client's website and pulling together what it finds: the brand, offering, and tone context that AI post generation uses in GBP Management. Without a profile, generated posts read generic; with one, they reference the actual business.

Note: The AI Profile tab isn't available on every account. If you don't see it, this feature isn't enabled for you.

Where to find it

Open a client from your client list, click Client Settings at the bottom of the client sidebar, then open the AI Profile tab. A green dot on the tab means a profile has already been built for this client.

How to build the profile

  1. Click Build AI Profile. Building crawls the website and analyzes the data; it usually takes 30 to 60 seconds, and a progress notice shows while it runs.
  2. When it finishes, the tab shows a "Last built" timestamp. Click View AI Profile Content to read the generated brief, and click it again to collapse it.
  3. Click Rebuild Profile whenever the client's site or positioning changes materially. The profile doesn't update on its own.

The Client Setup Wizard includes this step too, so a client set up through the wizard may already have a profile.

Tips

  • Fill in Services Offered and Target Audience on the Profile tab as well. Your written context and the crawl-based brief complement each other.
  • Read the brief after building it. If the crawl picked up the wrong impression of the business (say, from an outdated page), rebuild after fixing the site, since generated posts will echo whatever the brief says.

Troubleshooting

Building fails with an error. The site may have been unreachable or blocked the crawl. Check that the client's domain is correct and the site is up, then try again.

Generated GBP posts don't reflect a recent rebrand. The profile is a snapshot from the last build. Click Rebuild Profile so the brief picks up the new positioning.
