Report Branding
Set your agency's logo, colours, font, language and contact details once, then override any of them for a single client.
Branding is what a client sees on every report, PDF and report email: your logo, your colours, your agency name and contact details. You set it once at the agency level, and it applies to every client. When one client needs something different, override only the fields that differ.
Branding is applied live. Change your logo today and every existing share link shows the new logo the next time it is opened. The numbers inside a report never change; only the look does.
Where to find it
Open Agency Settings and click the Branding tab. Only the account owner or a manager can change branding; other team members see the settings but cannot edit them.
Per-client overrides live on the client's Client Reports page, in the Branding for this client card. See Client Reports Overview.
Agency branding
The Branding tab has a form on the left and a live preview on the right. The preview updates as you type, so you can see the result before you save.
Logo
Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. SVG files are not accepted. A wide logo on a transparent or white background works best; it is shown at a fixed height on the report and in the PDF header.
Agency name, colours and font
- Agency name appears next to the logo, in email sender names, and in the "Prepared by" line.
- Brand colour is used for headings, chart bars and links.
- Accent colour (optional) is used for the second series in charts and for highlights.
- Font picks from a short list of web fonts. The same font is used on the page and in the PDF.
Report language
Reports can be written in English, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese. This sets the language of the report's labels and section headings. Your own notes and commentary are shown as you wrote them.
Colour scheme
Choose Always light or Follow the viewer's device. Light is the safer choice if your clients print reports or forward them on.
Contact details
- Website links your agency name in the report footer.
- Contact email is the reply-to address on report emails, so a client who replies reaches you, not RankNest.
- Contact phone appears in the footer.
- Footer note is a short line at the bottom of every report, for a tagline or a legal note.
Hide the "Powered by RankNest" note
Reports carry a small "Powered by RankNest" line by default. Turn this on to remove it.
PDF defaults
Set the default Page size (A4 or Letter), whether PDFs open with a Cover page, and whether they have a Page header and footer with page numbers. Each client can override these in Report settings.
Click Save when you are done.
Branding for one client
Some clients want their own logo on the report, or a different language. On the client's Client Reports page, the Branding for this client card shows whether the client is using your agency branding or has overrides.
- Click Override.
- Fill in only the fields that should differ. Empty fields keep the agency value, which is shown as the placeholder.
- Click Save.
To go back to agency branding for every field, click Use agency branding.
Note: The report domain and the email sending domain are agency-level settings. A client can pick which of your verified report domains serves its link, but cannot add a domain of its own. See Custom Domains.
Tips
- Open a client's report after saving branding and check it on a phone. Logos that look fine on a desktop can be hard to read at a small size.
- If you serve clients in several languages, set the agency language to the one most of your clients speak and override the others per client.
- The preview on the Branding tab shows the same sample report that trial accounts see, so it is a good stand-in for a real client report.
Troubleshooting
The logo upload is rejected. Only PNG, JPEG and WebP files are accepted. Export SVG logos to PNG first.
Branding fields are greyed out. You are signed in as a team member without the manager role. Ask the account owner to change branding or to make you a manager. See Team Members.
A client's report still shows the agency logo after I set an override. Check that the override was saved: the card says "Some fields override your agency branding" when it is in effect. Then reload the report page.
