Message Mining Overview

Mine customer reviews from Google Maps, Reddit, and Trustpilot, then use AI to surface the themes, objections, and language that convert.

Message Mining collects real customer feedback (reviews, comments, and quotes) into per-client campaigns, then runs AI analysis to surface what customers actually care about: recurring themes, pain points, value props, and the exact words they use. The output is raw material for landing-page copy, ad creative, content briefs, and positioning.

Copy written in the customer's own language tends to convert better than copy written from the inside of a business. Message Mining gives you that language at scale instead of reading hundreds of reviews by hand.

Where to find it

Open a client, then click Message Mining in the client sidebar. The page lists every campaign for that client. If you haven't added a client yet, start with Add Your First Client.

How it works

  1. Create a campaign. A campaign is a container for one research effort, usually one company or one competitor. See Campaigns & Importing Reviews.
  2. Collect messages. Use Auto-Import to pull reviews from Google Maps, Reddit, or Trustpilot, or add quotes manually from any source (support tickets, surveys, sales calls).
  3. Run AI analysis. Once a campaign has at least 10 messages, run the analysis to get themes, pain points, value props, and actionable insights, each backed by direct customer quotes. See AI Analysis.
  4. Use the output. Lift the customer language into headlines, service pages, ads, and FAQ content.

What you can mine

  • Google Maps: reviews for any business, found by keyword and location or by pasting the business's Google Maps URL. Good for local-service voice of customer and competitor research.
  • Reddit: posts and comments from subreddits you choose, filtered by keyword. Good for unfiltered opinions and objections that never show up in reviews.
  • Trustpilot: reviews from a business's Trustpilot page. Good for product and e-commerce feedback.
  • Manual entries: anything you paste in yourself, tagged with a topic, message type, and conversion aspect.

Tip: Mine your client's competitors, not just the client. Competitor reviews tell you what the market praises and complains about, including gaps your client can position against.

Limits

Campaign counts, reviews imported per month, and messages per campaign depend on your plan. See Pricing. The dashboard warns you as you approach a limit and shows a per-campaign message counter inside each campaign.
